So, how'd I get here...

Like many business owners, Kenna & Co. started with a simple idea: I love small business and I could help change the statistic that 90% of startups fail.

But let’s back up.

My resume started early: first as my dad’s assistant delivering mail, then through restaurant, retail, and campus jobs. I wasn't doing it because I loved to work. I'm not a born entrepreneur. I was paying my way through life.

Still, at a university merchandise shop managing product purchasing and people, I first felt the spark: why was it so energizing to design, launch, and lead?

When I became the directing manager of a print shop, where I handled hiring, budgets, team performance, and revenue growth, I realized something important: I didn’t just enjoy building businesses — I frickin' loved it.

At the time, I thought business was just a side passion. I planned to become a therapist and make a difference at the individual level. But life had other plans; A move to Vancouver, a commission-only sales role, and a crash course in marketing later, I found myself leading startups across sales, operations, and strategy, making a difference at the organizational level.

I loved translating vision into execution, aligning teams, and using data to steer growth. Most of all, I loved the people — coaching them, learning from them, and building workplaces that felt worth showing up for.

I realized that I loved building other peoples' businesses, and I couldn't do that being limited to just one at a time. That’s when Kenna & Co. Consulting was born, a place where I bring my obsession with operations, strategy, and people to founders who want to scale without losing their spark.

Although I'm a recovering work-a-holic, making businesses awesome is still my passion.
